Not The Kiss

I don’t want to kiss you now
I want to steal your stare
I want to see the world in your eyes
and drown in that atmosphere

I don’t want to kiss you now
I want to watch your lips
speaking about life and love
and many more pleasing things

I don’t want to kiss you now
I want to liberate in your presence
inhale the aroma of your calm soul
and soak in my favourite fragrance

Kritika

Impressive about me is my eagerness to try everything. Self Motivation is a fixed gear of my creativity vehicle provoking me to dance to the tune of optimism. Yoga and books are the two transducers of this victim which have helped to be straightforward and open minded. Improvement is the second gear which is under construction and will always be undergoing changes simultaneously achieving different goals. There are other supporting gears with less of speed more of energy. This is KRITIKA πŸ™‚

  1. Kritika, this is a spectacular poem! It speaks about really getting to know someone. Without that knowledge, kisses probably won’t mean much! Very well-written and wise. The repeated first line of each verse is very effective.

I hope all is well with you! Cheryl

    1. I wrote this poem a long time back but fixed it, to my satisfaction, yesterday. Thank you so much Cheryl for the loving words. πŸ™‚ (Hug)
