Will You Try?

Dear Sun,

Drowning is my preference
Heart palpitates in pain
Facing you to soak your light
Let me bath in you to be sane
Surrounding is muzzling my efforts
Playing mentally to suffocate
The breath of freshness is desired
Your energy is a better mate
Queries unsolved have dissolved
In the ocean of tears now dry
A piece of peace I think I deserve
O Sun, will you help me and try?

  1. I can relate to this poem, Kritika. Very well-written and powerful.

Most of the time I can cope with the stresses of the Pandemic, but sometimes it gets to me. Florida just reached its highest number of new cases of coronavirus, surpassing the peak in New York. The federal government is putting pressure on states to reopen public schools. Idiotic! I know from the news today that India is also having very severe coronavirus issues.

You are in my thoughts. I hope you are OK. Take care of yourself. I hope you can find things to distract you and raise your spirits. Cheryl

    1. I hope the reopening should not happen as it is already distressing and children getting into trouble would not be good.
I am doing well as of now. Thank you so much Cheryl for your care and support. ❀
You too remain safe and keep writing. 🌷
