her carefree dance in the rain
attracted the only soul passing by
the water drops hiding her pain
he saw that hollow glint in her eyes

watched her madness in distress
from an irresistible distance
walked towards his princess
to let her know her prince’s existence

she accepted his hand with no fright
they danced on the rhythm of the rain
glistening under the moon light
unspoken promises forever to remain

  1. Ah, dancing in the rain! Nice photo, too. Just last week, I took my morning walk in light rain. Some people equate tears and rain, but I more often think of rain with pure joy. I love your poem, Kitrika!

I hope you are doing well.

    1. Thank you Cheryl. 🌷
Mostly rain does associate with wiping off the tears of an individual. True that is.
You are very sweet and loving. πŸ€—
