I pick my pen to write
Just not about hate love this time
As I am no judge of his behaviour
To blame him is only hurting self dear
Leave his memories behind
They were good times
This is what I try to accept
Free will is the basic concept
I know I was in good hands
Might land with better one
But writing and cursing him
Is only damaging my own self
Saying yes to dishonest germs
Conscious disapproving such terms
Nothing was wrong more than my yes
I don’t think I should take stress
Actually am feeling light
Writing about not stressing feels delight
Shifting focus to what is right
Changes are necessary
Going to grab a chocolate bite

Oh, My Dear!! I can so identify with the feelings you expressed in your poem!! I lived those feelings too for about a year and a half after my wife left me for her boyfriend (was the best thing ever to happen to me, as I later found out when I met the Angel I’ve been married to for 20 years). They have provided a wealth of inspiration over the years for my poetry – thankfully, without having to feel the old feelings of hurt. I hope this is a lookback poem for you and if not, then I hope time will soon heal the pain and you can only have “Lookback Poem” to write about!
Perhaps, you may be able to identify with my – Her Mosaic Heart, if you haven’t read it yet??

Hope you have a happy day!!

Thank you so much. Means so much to me that my words convey the meaning which I sewed.
Passing through different people and comprehending the meaning of their existence, being of value, in ones life. Only time teaches but never one can erase the memories of the precious moments spend. The future self only adores the happy times and time to time smiles looking back to those memories.
I will definitely go through your poem. Your words have truly made my sulken self a lot happy. 🙂🙂

Oh My, Kritika! I really love that your words reach out to this Little Ol’ Poet’s heart! They mean alot to me as touchstones to my past! Your words are definitely beautiful threads in the tapestry of your poems!! I have stated that a true poet has their words reach out and touch the heart of the reader’s! So, just in case you may doubt yourself from time to time like I have done – remember “You are a Poet” – You can use me as exhibit Z. LOL!
Here are a couple of other poets on WP I follow that you might enjoy:
