The Day I Had My Glasses On

In the fifth grade
I was afraid
was told to wait
outside Ophthalmologist’s gate

A lady in white coat
my stomach started to bloat
tracing her steps towards me
my eyes yearned to be free

Before meeting her
the eyes were introduced
to an artificial water
After twenty minutes
the Doctor will act as their slaughter

Hesitantly I held her
friendly hand
Touching the same
I felt I can firmly stand

Satisfied I was
by her friendly smile
She told me
it would only take her a while

Happily my chin relaxed
on the Autofractor
Thankfully not as frightening
as the Alligator

Accepted the new glares
Didn’t knew the world was this fair(clear)

Since then my life has changed
And a lot more I have achieved and gained.
